I flew in to check on junior
This morning I had the most surreal half asleep/half aware-awake experience, I got up, levitated myself off the floor, raised about half way up into the air, looked out the window, then, mustering up a lot of internal effort that I knew exactly how to do, I flew in to check on my sleeping/or half sleeping offspring. I hovered above his crib, perfectly balanced in the air!!!! I swear it felt soooo real! Talk about an out of body experience.... Then, a little while later, I woke up, in bed.
I guess even in my sleep, I'm always a worried mom! But that sure was odd....!

IF - "Foggy" or "Little Hedgehog in the Fog"
A new take on an old Russian cartoon I love - "Ezhik v tumane", or "Hedgehog in the Fog" (wow it rhymes in English!)
In the original story, Ezhik or Hedgehog, gets lost in the fog in the forest and the whole time tries to find his way home. My story has a new twist, Hedgehog is now in a Venetian gondola trying to find his way to shore.
First is my illustration, second is a simple animation based on the illustration, and third is my inspiration - the original cartoon. I think it's a masterpiece and I certainly don't come close...
Enjoy!

IF - Sour
The Pomegranate is a fruit of symbolic meaning in many different cultures. Some hold that it was the pomegranate, not the apple, which was the fruit of temptation leading to the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden.
I love everything about the poma-granate, its tart and deep ruby juice, breaking it and eating the seeds one by one, or all at once. It's chock-full of vitamins and really delicious!
